‘Bring a Loved One to School’
What a wonderful week in school! The ‘Bring a Loved One to School’ event was a huge success. When we first thought about the idea, we didn’t imagine the wonderful response and number of bookings hence why the sessions had to be split. It was lovely to see adults and children enjoying a drink and snack whilst completing the loved one activity sheet and adding love heart post it notes to our wall display. This morning, children who could not attend the event on one of the afternoons also took part in the tasks and had a drink and sweet treat. We had lots of lovely feedback regarding the event. This is an event that will run year on year with plans already in place to make 2025 bigger and better. A huge thank you must go to Mrs Lambert and the kitchen staff for making the cakes and biscuits and for staying behind to support with service.

Careers Fair

We are hoping to organise a ‘Careers Fair’ for our Year 6 children as a means of broadening their knowledge of the various professions available to them as they continue on their educational journey. We believe that the event would also provide an incentive to the children to achieve their educational goals. Last year’s event was very successful with excellent feedback gained from all attendees.

We are looking for a range of professions to participate in this event. The Careers Fair would involve talking to small groups of children about your profession and the various roles that you undertake. We are hoping to create a ‘Market Place’ with stalls for the children to visit, speak to adults, take part in activities and hopefully view artefacts linked to your profession. The children would also ask questions about your professional role.

The Fair will take place on the morning of Wednesday 28th June.
