Uniform

The school uniform can be bought from major high street shops. Items with the Academy logo can be purchased from Initial Images if desired. Pre-loved uniform can be purchased from the Community School Clothing Scheme which has premises both in Sunderland and South Shields. All clothing must be clearly marked with the child’s name.

Jewellery

Jewellery is not permitted to be worn by children in school at any time including necklaces, bracelets, rings or ear-rings. This is for health and safety reasons.

Earrings

Please can parents considering having their child’s ears pierced do so at the start of the Summer holiday to avoid any difficulties. Earrings are not allowed to be worn for P.E. under any circumstance.

School Bag

Children need an envelope style book bag. Please do not send large bags to school due to limited space available.

The uniform comprises the following:

• Grey / black skirt, pinafore, trousers or shorts – not leggings

• Purple sweatshirt / cardigan or fleece

• White blouse, shirt or polo shirt

• White, black or grey socks / tights

• Purple or mauve and white checked dresses

• Sensible black outdoor shoes

The school PE kit list is:

White T-shirt

Navy, grey or black shorts

Navy, grey or black tracksuit bottoms

Navy, grey or black tracksuit top (no crop tops)
