Our PTFA are very active in supporting the school. They organise a wide range of popular fun-filled events over the course of the year.

A welcome from our PTFA chairperson:

Hello, 

My name is Nicola and I am the current chairperson of Cleadon C of E Academy PTFA. I have been part of the group for 7 years now; I have a son currently in Year 5, and a daughter who has just moved to Whitburn Academy after spending 7 very happy years at the school.

 
I feel very grateful that our children attend such a close knit community school and have loved seeing how much we as a group have achieved over this time and the clear benefits to the children. We are a very welcoming group and are always looking for new members, or people just to lend a hand for an hour or two during our events. 
 
Over the years we have contributed thousands of pounds to the school to purchase play equipment, (like the monkey bars in school playground), numerous events, (like the annual Christmas pantomime) and the equipment and set up of the OPAL play system, which is an award winning school programme that helps to develop an inclusive, and creative environment for our children to thrive in during the school setting. A recent highlight for the group was achieving charity status so that we can claim Gift Aid to maximise all the very generous support we receive from our community.
 
We regularly ask the children to provide ideas/suggestions for what they would like us to fundraise for next and are aways open to new suggestions for events we can run in school.
 
We would love to welcome some new members to the group. Time commitment can be whatever you can manage, as we appreciate everyone is busy.
