May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Romans 15:13

In life having hope is a very important feeling. During our school day we hope for many things. We hope that there are fish fingers for lunch. We hope that our spelling test goes well. We hope that it is our day to play on the Trim Trail.

Throughout the year we may hope for many different things. That the sun shines during our holidays or that it snows at Christmas. That the lady next door gets better soon or that the new friend you made is a friend forever.

Having hope is a wonderful thing, but you need to know that when God says the word "hope" in the Bible, He does not mean it like when you say, " I hope I get that new toy," or "I hope it doesn't rain so I can play outside." Hoping in God is a stronger hope. It means you believe with all our heart! Your mind and your soul (feelings and emotions) will agree with your heart when you hope with God's strong hope.
