In France they say "ami" , in Germany it is "freund". Children in Holland talk about their "vriend". In India it is "dost" and in Spain you have an "amigo. Here in England we may say "pal, mate, chum, buddy, classmate, team mate, or even B.F.F. Their are lots of ways of saying "friend" and here at Cleadon Academy we work hard to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We enjoy spending time with our friends, be it working together in class, enjoying a day out or even just chatting over lunch.
We have discovered this wonderful poem by Shane Derolf. We think that it shows what can be achieved by being friendly and working together.
