Sunderland Aircraft Museum
In November our Year 2 classes visited Sunderland Aircraft Museum. The children have been learning about World War I their history lessons and they wanted to find out about what life was like for children back then. The visit was broken into two parts, the classroom and the museum. In the classroom the children learned about what children their age may have experienced. They also thought about how life was for a newly recruited soldier. In the second part of the visit the children explored a wartime street and got to look around the various airplanes, tanks and other methods of transport that are in the museum.
