Cleadon Church of England Academy

Musical Clubs

Here at Cleadon Church of England Academy we are a very musical bunch. As well as weekly music lessons we also have a variety of lunchtime and after school clubs catering for those of us with a song in our hearts!

Mrs Gray heads up the Year 6 choir. This is a hugely popular activity with the children learning and performing a mix or old and new songs. Over the year the children perform to the residents of Pinfold Court, sing in church and even cheer-up Christmas shoppers in King Street.

   Cello and Violin

Some of our KS1 children were given the opportunity to learn classical instruments. thay are now in Key Stage 2 and have gone from strength to strength.

Piano is a fairly new musical club which is headed by Mr Bird from Whitburn Academy. He works with children from Lower Key Stage 2 and together they are making super progress!

Guitar is open to Years 5 and 6. We have two regular music teachers who come to school to give lunchtime lessons. We are very proud of the children's work in this area.

Weekly Singing Sessions

Every week the children sing with our visiting pianists Mr Richardson and Mr Urwin. Year 4 are very proud of their rendition of The Rhythm of Life.
